I am just one person but I love my planet! What can I do this Earth Hour?
Create your own Event!
Do you like organizing parties, marches, concerts or even simple family get-togethers? Do you have your own ideas for what you can do this Earth Hour to make people more sensitive to climate change? Then select an activity below to tell us how, when and where you are going to celebrate the hour:
Watch the Match Together: It’s 19 March and it’s also the historic India-Pakistan ICC T20 Match. We wouldn’t want you to miss this one and we would want you to be a part of Earth Hour. So here’s your chance to not miss out and yet do your bit for the planet. Call your friends and set up your own match-watching party at home. That way you will be using one screen instead of multiple ones and while you’re at it, don’t forget to switch off all other lights during the hour!
Drift to the Dark Side: “Ink-black darkness filled the street and fear filled my heart. As far as one could see there was coal-blackness. Not a human face, nor a flicker of light could be seen. And then the strangest sound of ankle-bells….” Have a horror show at your own place and cook up the scariest stories to run a chill down everyone’s spine!
Party in the Park: None of your friends know till now how brilliant a party-thrower you are! And how innovative too! Who, but you, could have thought of throwing a party under the moonlight, out in the park with your friends and family? Be environment-friendly and use your own crockery and cutlery which you can wash back at home.
Candle-Light Dinner: We know it’s an old idea. But it’s for you, the die-hard romantic, who loves a serene, calm and peaceful dinner over anything else!
Least but not the last, don’t forget to tell us what you are doing for Earth Hour 2016. We will ensure that everyone knows about the great things you’ve done for our planet.
