Earth Hour is a global call to action from every individual, business and community to take a stand against the climate change, where in all the participating organizations switch off their electricity from 08:30pm to 09:30pm on 24th March 2018.
We at ‘The Gateway Hotel Calicut’ are contributing in the following way from 08:30 --09:30pm (60mins) on Saturday 24th March 2018:
1. The lobby and public area lighting will be dimmed and selective sections switched off.
2. The building façade lighting will be switched off.
3. Turning up the air-conditioning & increasing chiller temperatures to around two degrees.
4. Switching off non-critical music in lobby and restaurants.
While these are the only measures that will be visible to you as guests, the hotel is initiating as host of ‘Heart-of-house’ activity which will contribute to the ‘Earth Hour’.
